On April 13th, the College of Business Administration gathered to honor student and teacher excellence.  Over 200 exceptional undergraduate and graduate students received admission to Beta Gamma Sigma, and several others received University and College level awards and scholarships.  Four of our accounting students received these awards.  The faculty chose the deserving candidates based on excellence in the classroom and a commitment to the university community.  These students represent the very best of Northeastern University’s Accounting Program.

Please join us in congratulating these worthy recipients.

Every year, many of our accounting faculty receive student nominations for effort in the classroom.  This year was no exception.  Seven of our 25 full time-faculty were nominated for the University-wide Excellence in Teaching Award.  They were Charlie Bame-Aldred, Bill Bruns, Michael Cottrill, Ganesh Krishnamoorthy, Mario Maletta, Tim Rupert and May Zhang.  In addition, the College of Business Administration recognizes annually an outstanding faculty member based on student nominations.  This year Peggy O’Kelly won the award.  This is Professor O’Kelly’s second time winning the award.  If she wins for a third time, she will retire to the College of Business Hall of Fame and join Professors Michael Cottrill and Tim Rupert.  Join us in congratulating all our faculty nominees for their outstanding commitment to accounting education.
