OLKC 2010 Teaching Workshop

'Learning and Innovation in the Classroom'
The OLKC Teaching Workshop is designed specifically for Junior Faculty in Business and Management Schools. The purpose is to support and to develop innovative approaches to teaching that connect with the ideas and values of organizational learning.
The workshop is intended to offer practical support, idea generation and advice to participants who want to use non-traditional teaching/ learning methods. During the workshop, participants will be able to engage with, discuss and develop ideas and exercises to use in undergraduate and postgraduate classes.
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to discuss learning exercises they use or would like to use in the classroom. In addition, there are three themes that have been prepared in advance. These are:
- 'An Introduction to Learning and Innovation in the Classroom' - Russ Vince, School of Management, University of Bath, UK
- 'New Ways of Using Technology for Organizational Learning' - Bjørn Erik Mork and Thomas Hoholm, BI Norwegian School of Management, Oslo
- 'Mobilising Student's Personal Experience to Understand Organizational Learning' - Jon Lervik, BI Norwegian School of Management, Oslo
In order to make the workshop as interactive as possible, the maximum number of places available will be 12 participants.
The workshop will be directed by:
Professor Russ Vince, University of Bath
Professor Mike Reynolds, Lancaster University
The workshop will begin with a dinner reception on Thursday evening, 3 June at 19:00 to enable participants to meet one another and the workshop faculty. The workshop will run from 09:00 to 17:00 on Friday 4 June.
The cost of the workshop will be US$95.00 and will include the dinner reception, a continental breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon refreshments.
