Research and Teaching Interests

Professor Liu has research interests in the application of theories from economics and psychology to performance evaluation and motivation issues within and between organizations. His methodological interests are in experimental economics, judgment and decision making and archival approach as they relate to management accounting and financial accounting issues. Professor Liu’s teaching interests include Managerial Accounting and Financial Accounting.

Industry and Academic Experience

Professor Liu worked as research assistant at the University of South Carolina where he also taught introductory accounting courses. Prior to obtaining his doctorate, he worked for Thomason Learning and Panorama Network.

Professor Liu is a member of the American Accounting Association. He has worked as editorial assistant for the Journal of Information System.
